The community of Navasota is mourning the tragic loss of Javier Morales-Perez, 32, who lost his life in a devastating three-vehicle crash early Friday morning on Texas Highway 105 near Plantersville. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. Investigators said Javier was driving a 2014 Honda CR-V eastbound on Highway 105 when he slowed to make a left turn into a construction site. A 2019 Subaru Outback traveling behind him reportedly failed to stop in time and struck the rear of his vehicle. The impact pushed Javier’s SUV into the westbound lane, where it was struck head-on by an oncoming Ford F-350.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and worked to assist everyone involved. Tragically, Javier suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported that the drivers of the Subaru and Ford sustained only minor injuries.
